It's not me selling this product! Please complain to the company if you are offended. I don't think anyone would want to humiliate a person with OCD. David

Hi,

Was just watching a documentary about BDD on youtube called "Too Ugly for Love". I am a former patient of The Priory where I was treated for the condition, my therapist was Rob Wilson and my Dr was Dr Veale. I've come a long way now and everyday still has its challenges but i've become a totally different person. After seeing this documentary I thought I must get in touch and write something. My therapy came to an end quite suddenly due to unforseen circumstances and I don't think I ever had time to say thank you to you all. Don't know if you remember me, it was quite some time ago. I've held a job down now for 4 years which is something I would never have been capable of and my bdd doesn't stop me from doing anything. Very different person to all those years ago. Well, memories came flooding back and thought i'd write. Hope everyone is well.

Kindest Regards,

- Abraham.

What a ridiculous product.
3 and a half years ago however, i wouldnt have thought this at all. i would have bought it. Straight away. and probably would have used the whole bottle in less than a week. But i had CBT under the care of Dr Veale and i have no need for such products anymore. I still need to do an 'OCD' handwash every night before bed but i am not nearly as bad as what i was! i hope others with OCD see this product and laugh at it as well !

That's great to raise understanding of the problem and to hopefully find it's way to women interested in the research.

I would really like to help further with the CS reearch if practical.

Hope you are well!

BlueQ is a company that produces things that are mostly absurd - it's deliberate comedy. These things make for interesting gift ideas, but I doubt the creators thought of OCD when they created the "touched genitals" sanitizer. The OCD one is newer (haven't seen it before) and probably an afterthought, I personally think it's less funny that their other products :).

Dr. Veale:

I applaud your efforts at conducting a study of labiaplasty.
As a cosmetic surgeon, I obviously come across individuals with BDD, Some studies report an incidence of 8-15% incidence among all-comers who undergo elective cosmetic surgery.
I tend to perform at least 150 of these procedures a year. Although, initially I approached the procedure with some reluctance due to my questioning of the motivations and anticipated satisfaction rates, I have become convinced that this is no different than any other cosmetic procedure and requires the same diligence in pre-operative evaluation as a breast augmentation.
Furthermore, I would venture to say, there is even a higher rate of satisfaction(when compared to the accepted procedure of breast enhancement) due to the added functional benefits that women report in comparison to a purely cosmetic procedure such as breast augmentation.
I would be extremely interested in the outcomes of your study thus far or when you plan on presenting these to the public.
If you continue to recruit patients perhaps I could contribute my patient base. I will continue to review your online documents but please let me know the intended follow up and patient requirements.

With high regards
